Cities are being invaded by new electric forms of transportation. PEVs (personal electric vehicles) became more popular in the last couple of years to fill that "last mile" transportation gap.
In this blog post, we will break down the most popular model of electric scooter Xiaomi M365 and our H5 electric skateboard to hopefully help determine which one is better for you.
Xiaomi M365 $599 USD
Teamgee H5 $499 USD
Most of the products from China are able to offer the best price value because the labor costs are much lower.
"Made in China" used to be such a notorious label because it's synonymous with products with inferior quality. Time has changed though with more innovative technology companies like Huawei, Haier, DJI, Xiaomi, etc. Chinese companies have evolved from remarkable copiers to legitimate innovators.
Xiaomi M365 18.6 miles
Teamgee H5 11 miles
Sure the more range the better, it's no rocket science though that a bigger battery means more range with portability at cost.
Do your research and choose your PEV that has enough range for your commute without having to deal with cumbersome electric vehicles that defeat the purpose of having one in the first place.
Xiaomi M365 2 out of 3 stars (weighs 26.9lbs)
Teamgee H5 3 out of 3 stars (weighs 13lbs)
Might be the real nitty-gritty when talking about personal electric vehicles. Teamgee H5 weighs only half of Xiaomi M365 therefore is much more portable to be carried around to almost anywhere.
Xiaomi M365 5 hours (15.5 MPH)
Teamgee H5 2 hours (22 MPH)
Teamgee H5 requires only half of the charging time compared to Xiaomi. In case you are looking for even faster charging time, fast charging shortens battery life significantly with more current required and we do not want to compromise that.

Xiaomi M365 has a more comfortable riding experience because the pneumatic tires absorb most medium-sized bumps in the road despite lacking suspension and help the scooter feel decently stable at its top speed of 25 km/h (15.5 mph).
Teamgee H5 gets a 2 out of 3 stars for comfort because it doesn't have a handle bar meaning if you're unfamiliar with being on a skateboard without holding onto something it's going to be a little sketchy for you.

Electric skateboards are probably hands down the most fun of all the personal electric vehicles. Surfing down the street is a great way to start the day, and will absolutely bring a smile to your face. How many of you can say that about your commute?
Plus, it would be pretty funny to see other drivers’ faces when you glide past them as if floating while they were stuck crawling along in traffic.
If you're comfortable on a skateboard (as is any kid that grew up in the late 80's should be) then it turns out the electric skateboards are a much more convenient and economical choice.
If you're uncomfortable on a skateboard or just need to get a few blocks across town occasionally, the scooters are a better choice. The challenge with the scooters is that you often need to stop at lights and obey traffic laws which most people don't want to do.
